Are you equipped to spot the subtle, early warning signs of an eating disorder before a formal diagnosis is ever made?
Early intervention is critical, yet real-world presentations rarely match textbook definitions. To bridge this gap, the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia (CSAB) invites you to a three-session, interactive online seminar hosted by the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy (ICP).
Led by Jacob Pine, LCSW, CSAB Co-Division Director, this live Zoom program is offered only once per year. Designed for a multidisciplinary network of frontline professionals—including therapists, physicians, school counselors, and other clinicians—it provides 4.5 NYS continuing education credits for eligible participants.
With more than 15 years of specialized experience, Jacob will guide participants through the complex gray areas of eating-disorder diagnosis. Through real-world clinical examples, case-based discussion, participant Q&A, and peer conversation, the seminar moves beyond standard diagnostic criteria to explore how eating disorders may present in actual practice.
Whether you are seeking advanced clinical insights or foundational screening tools, this seminar offers practical information you can apply when recognizing and evaluating possible eating disorders.

Each seminar may be taken independently. Participants who register for both programs will receive a discounted bundled rate.

Presenter
Jacob Pine
Jacob Pine is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Manhattan. He grew up in New York City, and did his undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University and The Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. He earned his Masters degree in social work from Fordham University, and received his certificate in the integrated treatment of eating disorders from the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia, a division of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, a psychoanalytic training institute in Manhattan.
After college, Jacob had a long and successful career as a chef in and around NYC. He became interested in understanding more deeply the relationships people have with food and diet. He returned to school and began a new career. His love and study of music, and his appreciation and knowledge of food permeate the work he does. He believes in addressing the issues at hand and treating people individually and with respect and understanding. He is well-versed in a wide variety of theories and techniques, and uses them as indicated by both scientific research and professional experience.
Continuing Education Credits
An important note about CEs: ICP is an approved provider of continuing education credits for social workers, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, creative arts therapists, psychologists and psychoanalysts through the New York Department of Education. If your license is from a different state, please contact your state’s licensing board to find out if they will accept CE credits for New York State.

Policies & Refunds
Refunds: Please note that refunds for all ICP workshops are available up until one week before the start of the workshop or module. Fees assessed by third-party ticketing or payment processors are outside of our control and cannot be refunded.
Attendance: To receive NYS CE Credits, you must attend the session in full. Partial credit is not permitted.
